 A compilation of movies that illustrate key aspects of the cell biology of living filamentous fungi has been developed on CD-ROM.  The movies have been obtained using confocal microscopy and show time-lapse sequences and 3D-reconstructions of fungal cells stained with fluorescent dyes and/or expressing GFP.  The aim of this publication is to provide a valuable resource and powerful educational tool showing the dynamic nature of fungal cells.  The target audience is for anyone interested in fungal biology, and particularly students and those teaching mycology.  The movies can be readily imported into Microsoft Powerpoint® presentations.
